The Texas Longhorns men’s basketball team has announced its SEC schedule for 2025-26, headlined by a home game against the defending national champions, Florida.
Miller will begin his Longhorns stint with a marquee matchup against the Duke Blue Devils on November 4th in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Within the conference, the Longhorns will host and visit Oklahoma, Georgia, and Texas A&M.
Since joining Texas three months ago after leaving Xavier, Sean Miller has wasted no time overhauling the roster post-Rodney Terry’s firing.
After Terry’s departure, it was only natural for there to be widespread speculation about the future of Longhorns players still eligible to compete, with many wondering who would receive invitations to remain part of the team under new leadership.
Half of the eight players from last season who could have returned have instead decided to move on, either heading to the NBA or transferring to other colleges.
With the roster taking shape for 2025-26, only four players who featured in at least ten games last year (Jordan Pope, Tramon Mark, Chendall Weaver, and Nic Codie) are slated to return. So, Longhorns fans can expect a major rebuild heading into next season.
Miller has been busy strengthening the team by adding several transfers and delivering on his word to bring in top high school recruits, including four-star forward John Clark and European prospect Lewis Obiorah.
