Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs continue to pursue the best of the best in the high school ranks, extending a scholarship offer Baba Oladotun - the No. 1 ranked prospect in the 2027 class according to 247Sports.
Oladotun is a 6'9 small forward playing at James Hubert Blake high school in Silver Spring, Maryland. He is the consensus top prospect in the class and has already received 40+ offers, including Kansas, Texas, BYU, Miami, Texas A&M, and Oregon...in just the last month alone.
Kentucky, UCLA, Villanova, Arkansas, Indiana, and Michigan have all made offers as well, with UCLA considered the favorite according to On3.

Oladotun cemented his place atop the 2027 class with a strong performance at the NBPA Top 100 camp. As one of just 24 underclassmen in attendance, the 6'9 wing was named to the All-Camp team as one of the top scorers at the event. That included a 26 point explosion toward the end of camp, where he shot 8-15 on twos and 3-5 from the three point line.
Oladotun's size and length make him a tantalizing prospect, and his ability to knock down open shots and use his footwork to get to his spots makes him a dangerous three level scorer.
This is Gonzaga's first known offer in the 2027 class, although the program recently contacted five-star guard Dooney Johnson from Wisconsin who is No. 19 in the class rankings at 247Sports.
Gonzaga is also pursuing the top ranked recruit in the 2026 class, Tyran Stokes, potentially signaling a shift in strategy for coach Few toward high school recruiting and development after aggressively digging into the transfer portal in recent years.
The Zags have offers out to a pair of 2026 prospects, center Sam Funches and forward Cameron Holmes, and have been in contact with Stokes, point guard Ikenna Alozie, and forwards Toni Bryant and Dean Rueckert as well.
