Transfer roundup: Villanova’s Acaden Lewis picks Miami

Acaden Lewis, considered one of the best guards in the portal, will transfer from Villanova to Miami, he announced on Tuesday.

Lewis decommitted from Kentucky last spring and was pursued by Miami before he chose Villanova, where he went on to average 12.2 points, 5.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game. He had a 14-point, 12-assist game in the regular-season finale, a win over Xavier. He was a second-team All-Big East pick and voted to the conference's all-freshman team.

A lefty point guard, Lewis had also declared for the NBA draft at the same time that he entered his name in the transfer portal last week.

The Hurricanes went 26-9 in their first season under head coach Jai Lucas, reaching the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament before a loss to Purdue.

Players have until April 21 to decide to enter the transfer portal, but they do not need to commit to a new school by that time.

--KJ Lewis is heading out West again after a year at Georgetown, choosing to transfer to Southern California.

Lewis joined the Hoyas after two seasons mostly off the bench at Arizona. He put up 14.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.1 steals per game in 28 games (27 starts) for Georgetown. In 101 career games, he has averages of 10.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists.

--Guard Wes Enis is headed to Creighton after a stellar freshman season at South Florida.

Enis compiled 16.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game while shooting 35.2% from 3-point range in 32 games (29 starts). He had 13 20-point games and twice reached the 30s, making 10 3-pointers both times.
