The UConn Huskies have been at the top of the college basketball podium for much of the past few years.
UConn entered the NCAA Tournament attempting to win their third straight national title. While the Huskies were certainly a talented team, they suffered a two-point second-round loss to No. 1 Florida.
As UConn head coach Dan Hurley and his staff look to rebuild their roster, they received major news regarding key contributor Tarris Reed Jr.
Reed, the Big East Sixth Man of the Year, will return to UConn for his senior season, according to Joe Tipton.

Reed will be entering his second season with the UConn Huskies. He originally transferred to UConn ahead of the 2024-25 season after playing two seasons with the Michigan Wolverines in the Big Ten.
During his Sixth Man of the Year campaign, Reed recorded 9.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game.
Hurley and the UConn Huskies will be losing some of the program's biggest stars ahead of next season.
Freshman Liam McNeeley, the Big East Freshman of the Year, declared for the 2025 NBA Draft while Samson Johnson and Hassan Diara have exhausted their NCAA eligibility.
Reed should now see a major boost in his minutes as well as opportunities on both ends of the floor.
