The USC basketball team is not having a good year as they are currently in last place in the Pac-12. The Trojans have not come close to meeting expectations this season as they came into the year hoping to win the Pac-12 and making a deep run into the NCAA Tournament. At this point, even if USC won out, they would likely still miss the tournament. It’s hard to put a finger on why the Trojans have struggled so much this season, but something is up with this team.

USC basketball star Boogie Ellis recently discussed the struggles that the team has been having, and he thinks that the culture is part of the problem. He noted that the team is young, and because of that, a specific culture hasn’t really been set in stone.

“Sometimes, we gotta have some more pride, at the end of the day,” Boogie Ellis said, according to an article from Trojan Daily Blog. “We had a lot of guys on last year’s team who really knew how much it meant to us. I feel like, we just gotta establish a culture. We got a lot of young guys now – we got to want it more.”

Some good news for USC is that because of the fact that they are young, they should have a lot of talent coming back next year. The tournament might be out of reach, but establish a culture now and build for next season.
