USC Gets Huge News on 7-Foot-3 Transfer

The USC Trojans have been making waves in the offseason regarding their 2025 basketball recruiting class.

Sitting in the top ten for their recruiting class, including five-star guard Alijah Arenas, they have a lot of hype heading into just the first couple weeks of the offseason.

On top of Arenas, four-star combo guard Jerry Easter has signed his letter of intent and will be playing for the Trojans in the fall.

They have been very active in the transfer portal as well, with two four-star transfers from Virginia and Robert Morris.

They most recently claim a 7-foot-3 center off the transfer portal from Youngstown State, Gabe Dynes.

Dynes enters his third year in his collegiate career, this time with a huge program in USC. After spending his first two seasons as a depth piece in Youngstown State, he will become a very important piece in the Trojans team.

Averaging 3.1 blocks per game last season will make him an elite defender in the paint, as they will be able to play defense more freely knowing Dynes can protect the rim.

He also scored 6.8 points per game to go along with 5.8 rebounds, solidifying an all-around skillset on both ends of the court.

The Trojans will look to build on an otherwise disappointing 2024 campaign. Finishing with a 17-18 record, including losing seven of their last nine, they will look to put that season in the rear view mirror as they look ahead to brighter days.

Head coach Eric Musselman and the Trojans will look to take their top ten recruiting class into the season and make noise in the Big Ten, looking to make it back to the NCAA Tournament.
