Watch: Bronny James emulates father with chase down block in USC debut

Bronny James made his USC debut on Sunday and delivered a defensive gem straight out of his father's playbook.

While the stakes weren't as high as Game 7 of the NBA Finals — like LeBron James' famous block in 2016 that helped clinch the Cavaliers' first championship — the play was Bronny's best of the first half as he got his footing at the college level.

On July 20, he went into cardiac arrest at a practice. Bronny was cleared for a return to basketball on Nov. 30 and received a massive ovation when he made his collegiate debut with 12:58 remaining in the first half.

James also drained a three in the second half of USC's 84-79 overtime loss against Long Beach State.

The result wasn't what the Trojans hoped for, but Bronny's ability to fill the box score in his debut portends good things for his future.

He finished the game with four points, three rebounds two assists, two steals and a block.
