Notre Dame jumped all over Syracuse early in their game, with Markus Burton heavily involved in the Fighting Irish's offense. Burton scored 18 of Notre Dame's first 25 points and had 22 first half points against the Orange, a career high for a first half. For the game, he had 28 points on 12-26 shooting with two made three-pointers. He also had four rebounds and two assists in the game.
