Matthew Hurt was one of the most consistently productive players in the ACC during the 2020-21 basketball season, and was edged out for ACC Player of the Year honors by Georgia Tech's Moses Wright. Hurt earned the Most Improved Player award after nearly doubling his scoring output from 9.7 to 18.3 points per game in between his freshman and sophomore seasons. He led the ACC in scoring and ranked 2nd in field goal percentage during his sophomore year.
