With 5:09 left, Louisville led 70-69, and the Cardinals scored the next 12 points and finished the game on a 13-1 run. Louisville's Chucky Hepburn scored 19 of his 27 points in the second half. Hepburn also had seven assists and two rebounds. Reyne Smith drilled four three-pointers and scored 17 points. For North Carolina, freshman Ian Jackson had his third consecutive game of 20+ points as he scored a team-high 23 points.
