The Wisconsin Badgers have added another non-conference game to the upcoming 2025-26 season schedule in the form of a CAA program.
The Campbell Fighting Camels, a storied program from the Colonial Athletic Conference, will play against the Wisconsin Badgers in a non-conference clash during the upcoming season. Campbell will visit Madison and play at the Kohl Center on November 3rd in a highly anticipated clash.
The Camels finished 15-17 a season ago and failed to make the postseason, extending a rough stretch for the program that has included a long postseason drought. Campbell added plenty of players to the program for the upcoming season, but lost leading scorer Colby Duggan alongside multiple other key players. Exactly what the Camels will bring to the table during the season is unclear, but Wisconsin will get an early crack at finding out what Campbell is made of.
The Wisconsin Badgers have a difficult out-of-conference schedule this upcoming season but also have added a balance of interesting match-ups to the schedule with Campbell visiting Madison and Villanova meeting the team in Milwaukee.
While Campbell might not be the most challenging opponent of the bunch, Villanova, BYU, and Marquette will be very dangerous opponents for the Badgers to play against. BYU previously got the best of Wisconsin, but both programs have endured serious changes since meeting during the NCAA Tournament. Villanova and Marquette are in similar boats but with loaded rosters are working towards properly retooling for a tough upcoming season.
Wisconsin will also be a part of the Rady’s Children’s Invitational in San Diego with Providence being the first opponent scheduled. The Badgers will play either TCU or Florida depending on the result of the game against Providence, which could be a telling clash. Wisconsin will be surrounded by plenty of talent in San Diego while playing against three strong programs that all could find a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
