The Wisconsin Badgers acted fast on a big recruit from Tennessee previously at a position of need and secured a commitment.
Djidjou Bah, a 2026 three-star defensive lineman, committed to Wisconsin after taking an official visit with the program. Bah was still on campus at the time of his announcement, and the Badgers secured a commitment from Bah less than a month after extending a scholarship.
While the quick work was impressive for the Wisconsin football staff, the commitment came relatively early in the process for Bah and has left time for other programs to approach the recruit. The defensive lineman has remained solid in his commitment thus far and still holds a Wisconsin pledge despite attending official visits with other programs who have aggressively pursued the three-star prospect.
Previously, the Missouri Tigers made a heavy push for Bah with a scholarship and official visit combo in hopes of keeping the recruit closer to home. However, Bah has stuck to his original Wisconsin Badgers commitment which is a good sign for the program.
Now, rival Big Ten Conference programs such as Michigan State, Penn State, and Indiana have joined the battle to flip Bah.
Michigan State, Indiana, and most recently Penn State all offered and contacted the defensive lineman within the past few weeks. Penn State extended an offer today which could prove to be a pivotal one for Bah due to the recent success along the line the Nittany Lions have had.
As things currently stand, Bah would be scheduled to receive decent playing time early or at least have the chance to fight for such time. Wisconsin added fellow 2026 commitment Arthur Scott but still needs to find more bodies moving forward. The Badgers have added to much of the line via the transfer portal, and roster spots will certainly be open by the time Scott and Bah hit campus.
The talented defensive lineman has continued to stack up offers as the film of Bah has spread throughout many recruiting departments. The high-motor, intense play of Bah is appealing and likely will continue to draw in offers for the recruit due to his size, speed, and agility as a lineman.
Moving forward, the Badgers will have to hold on and hope that Bah continues to choose Madison over other potential destinations. The process of trying to flip the defensive lineman will get harder moving forward, however, with limited time remaining before focus is placed upon the upcoming season for the recruit.
