Xavier Pinson reportedly plans to return to Missouri now that he has explored his options with the NBA Draft.
Missouri shared in late March that Pinson was planning to test the NBA but retain his eligibility.
On Tuesday, Missouri reporter Mitchell Forde said Pinson was expected to return to the Tigers for his junior season, though the guard hasn’t formally withdrawn yet.
Multiple sources have told me that #Mizzou guard Xavier Pinson is expected to return for his junior season. Pinson declared for the NBA Draft and hasn’t yet filed the paperwork to formally withdraw, but all signs point to him returning to Columbia.

Pinson averaged 11.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game this past season as a sophomore. He is a career 39.9% shooter.
Pinson withdrawing would not be a surprise as a fringe second-round prospect. The draft has become overloaded with prospects whose college seasons were cut short and whose college futures remain in question due to the virus.
