Karoline Striplin made headlines on Thursday with her decision to join the Indiana Hoosiers for the upcoming 2024-25 season, marking a departure from her previous team, the Tennessee Volunteers.

Standing tall at 6-foot-3, Striplin brings her considerable talents to the Hoosiers’ lineup, bolstering coach Teri Moren’s squad with her remaining year of eligibility.

Her tenure at Tennessee saw her emerge as a formidable force on the court, starting in 39 games and participating in a total of 91 matches over three seasons.

During the 2023-24 season, as a junior, Striplin showcased her skills with averages of 7.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and notable contributions in other areas of the game.

While primarily known for her effectiveness around the basket, shooting an impressive 58.3% on 2-point attempts, she also displayed versatility with a 31% success rate from beyond the arc and a solid free throw percentage of 76.2%.

Despite her undeniable talent, Striplin experienced fluctuations in playing time, particularly during SEC play, following a strong start to her junior campaign. Her sophomore season also saw a decrease in minutes despite starting 28 games, highlighting the challenges she faced within the Volunteers’ lineup.

A highly regarded recruit out of Geneva County High School in Hartford, Ala., Striplin initially committed to Tennessee, where she earned recognition as a four-star prospect and ranked impressively in the espnW 100 rankings.

With her transfer to Indiana, Striplin fills a crucial gap in the Hoosiers’ frontcourt, following the departure of Mackenzie Holmes, the program’s all-time leading scorer. Her addition adds depth to a roster already featuring notable talents, including Lexus Bargesser, Sydney Parrish, and others.

As the 2024-25 season approaches, Indiana’s lineup takes shape with Striplin among its ranks, contributing to a formidable team poised for success in the competitive landscape of collegiate basketball.
