Dawn Staley continues to build powerhouse programs at South Carolina, and her players consistently prove they’re ready for the next level. A growing number of former Gamecocks are making their mark in the WNBA.
Last night, three South Carolina alums appeared in the same game as the Indiana Fever faced off against the Golden State Valkyries.
Laeticia Amihere, Aliyah Boston and Bree Hall, three former Gamecocks, reunited after the game for a photo op. The WNBA shared the image on social media, prompting a heartfelt reaction from their former coach.
“Heart is full!!! @GamecockWBB LOVE!” Staley posted.

Boston led the way for the Fever, finishing with 17 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks. Indiana lost 88-77, but Boston’s performance stood out. The 6-foot-5 forward, selected No. 1 overall by the Fever in the 2023 WNBA Draft, played at South Carolina from 2019 to 2023.
Amihere had a strong night for the Valkyries. Coming off the bench, she logged 19 minutes, scoring 10 points with three rebounds and three assists. She went 4-for-8 from the free throw line. The 23-year-old Canadian was Boston’s teammate from 2019 to 2023 and played a key role in the Gamecocks’ 2022 national championship run.
Bree Hall didn’t see action in the game and has yet to make her WNBA debut for Golden State. She was selected in the second round of the 2025 draft by the Indiana Fever. They later chose to waive her on May 5. Earlier this week, she signed with Golden State.
Just 21 years old, Hall is still adjusting to the league and learning from the sidelines during her rookie season. Hall won two NCAA titles, one in 2022 alongside Boston and Amihere and another in 2024.
Under Staley’s leadership, South Carolina has become a dynasty. She’s guided the program to three NCAA tournament titles (2017, 2022 and 2024), seven Final Fours and nine SEC tournament championships, including the last three in a row.
