UConn and South Carolina are plenty familiar with each other at this point and the two women's college basketball powers are set to meet once again on the game's biggest stage.
After fighting their way through their respective sides of the bracket, the Huskies and Gamecocks will again face each other with a national title on the line — with Dawn Staley's team coming out ahead the last time they met in the Final Four a few years ago.
Not only does this matchup feature a pair of Hall of Fame coaches, but also one of the biggest names in the sport in Paige Bueckers and arguably the most well-rounded group of ladies on the hardwood in South Carolina.
A lot of the discourse surrounding Sunday's game has been about has been about the Huskies superstar and the legacy she'll leave at Storrs; and Dawn Staley didn't seem too happy about that yesterday.
"Sometimes we create these narratives about great players — Caitlin [Clark] was one of them; Paige is one of them right now — and we tend to forget the narrative about what our kids have been able to do, going for their third in four years," Staley told media members this weekend.
"We can raise Paige up because she deserves that and raise our players up because they deserve that. ... There's room for it in our game for all of us to be covered. Let's not choose a history, one's history over another program's history. Let's not choose one player over another player's history because we're all creating history for our game."
When it comes to ESPN Analytics and the Basketball Power Index though, the Worldwide Leader sees Connecticut cutting down the nets and capturing Geno Auriemma's 12th national championship.
The BPI gives the Huskies a 57.1% chance of leaving the floor victorious to South Carolina's 42.9%. UConn also opened as 5.5-point favorites over the Gamecocks before those odds increased to 6.5, according to ESPNBET.
We'll see what Staley and SC have to say about that, however. Because you know Dawn's team is going to come out ready to play once things tip-off at 3 PM ET.
