The college basketball transfer portal has helped some of the most prestigious programs across the country lure top talent ready to make an immediate impact.

One of the biggest names who made the move in the transfer portal after the basketball season was former South Carolina star MiLaysia Fulwiley.

After two seasons with Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks, Fulwiley joined the rival LSU Tigers in the SEC.

Current Chicago Sky and former LSU guard Hailey Van Lith, recently commented on the move from Fulwiley.

Van Lith shared high praise for the incoming Tiger while showing respect for the atmosphere at LSU.

"I mean yeah, I think MiLaysia's a very confident player," Van Lith said, per Julia Poe. "I think she'll be fine. Be who you are and have fun. I think the fans here are great. The environment is great, so just embrace every game and really just enjoy the atmosphere that LSU provides."

Last season with the South Carolina Gamecocks, Fulwiley averaged 11.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.

She posted similar numbers during her freshman season at South Carolina, recording 11.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.

Van Lith previously played one season at LSU. She was a part of the Tigers' roster for the 2023 to 2024 women's college basketball season.

During her lone season at LSU, Van Lith averaged 11.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.

She also spent her last season, 2024 to 2025 with the TCU Horned Frogs, and her first three seasons at the collegiate level with the Louisville Cardinals.
