No, Dawn Staley Is Not Known To Be Married or Dating Anyone

South Carolina Gamecocks head coach Dawn Staley is one of the biggest names in women's basketball. This has prompted plenty of hoops fans to wonder if Staley is married or dating anyone special.

Staley is open about certain parts of her life, including a passion for Philadelphia sports, especially after the Eagles' recent Super Bowl victory. Yet, Staley prefers to keep her dating life private and is not known to be in a relationship with anyone, despite unfounded rumors linking the coach to other people.

Staley did announce she is releasing a new book in May, and it will be interesting to see if the legendary coach reveals more about her personal life.

"Hey everyone! I have an announcement because….I’ve been asked so many times about writing a book and it is about time I listened," Staley said in a Feb. 21, message on Instagram.

For now, Staley remains focused on continuing to make South Carolin a power in college basketball, her faith and several social justice initiatives the coach supports.

"They're (South Carolina players) watching me," Staley told ESPN's Hallie Grossman for an April 4, feature story. "I can't ask them to stand up for themselves if I'm sitting down.

"Nor can I ask them to use their voice to affect change if I'm only willing to whisper. So when someone tells me to shut up and coach, I simply say, 'No.' I have a job to do. I'm being watched."
