On Sunday, the No. 1 overall seed UCLA Bruins took on the No. 3 seed LSU Tigers in the Elite Eight in a battle with two of the biggest brands in the sport.

While the Tigers may have had more success historically in the NCAA Tournament, they were no match for the Bruins. Led by Gabriela Jaquez, who is the younger sister of Miami Heat star Jaime Jaquez, the Bruins lit up LSU from deep. They finished the contest having made 10 threes, with Jaquez making four of them, compared to LSU's five total. The barrage of threes helped secure a 72-65 win.

On top of taking down one of the sport's giants, the win also led to UCLA advancing to the program's first Final Four in history, as revealed by ESPN.

To make things even sweeter, Sunday's win also avenges UCLA's loss to LSU last season, as the Tigers end their season in the Sweet 16. LSU didn't go down without a fight, as Flau'jae Johnson totaled 28 points, while Aneesah Morrow contributed 15 of her own before fouling out.

The Bruins will await the winner of the No. 1 seed USC Trojans and No. 2 seed UConn Huskies. Although they likely are just focused on themselves and their goal of winning a title, if they are matched up with USC again, it would allow them to even the season series against the Trojans.

USC handed UCLA their lone two losses on the year during the regular season before the Bruins beat them in the Big Ten Tournament final.

UCLA's Final Four game will be played on April 4.
