The Hurricanes opened up their ACC schedule with a road win over the Panthers, 62-56. Miami jumped out to an early 18-point lead in the first half, but Pitt did a great job clawing back and making it a fight for the entire fourth quarter. Haley Cavinder led the 'Canes with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists. Jasmyne Roberts scored 19 points and had five steals. For Pitt, Khadija Faye scored 21 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, blocked three shots, had two assists, and a steal.
