'You All Creating Out Of Thin Air': Olivia Miles Sets Story Straight On Rumored Beef With Hannah Hidalgo
Notre Dame guard Hannah Hidalgo (3) and guard Olivia Miles (5) celebrate during a NCAA women’s basketball game between Notre Dame and SMU at Purcell Pavilion on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025, in South Bend.

Olivia Miles and Hannah Hidalgo played for the same team, but rumors are swirling about the duo having a misunderstanding. In other terms, Miles and Hidalgo rumored beef was getting out of hand. Just a few hours after announcing her transfer portal decision, Miles was asked about the rumored beef with her former backcourt running mate.

It came to a point that Miles was forced to address the issue to put things to rest. Surprisingly, there was no beef between the two. The former Notre Dame Guard mentioned that people were blowing things out of proportion.

“Yeah, we’re fine. We are perfectly fine, y’all. There is no beef. There is literally no beef, like you all are creating out of thin air. And to address my tweet, y’all kind of took it and ran with it. My intention behind, I don’t have to explain this, but my intention behind it was just like, ‘Phew, there’s a lot going on.’ But y’all took it and ran with it,” Olivia Miles said.

Olivia Miles was referring to her previous tweet, where she posted a series of puffing emojis. She posted the tweet after the Notre Dame Fighting Irish was knocked out of the Sweet 16 round by the TCU Horned Frogs.

Miles entered the transfer portal and will be playing for the TCU Horned Frogs in the 2025-26 season.

Olivia Miles Opens Up Loss Against The TCU Horned Frogs

Olivia Miles was upset that the Fighting Irish lost in the Sweet 16 round. The Horned Frogs had control of the game, and their offense racked up 71 points. The Fighting Irish scored only 62 and suffered a huge loss. However, Miles believes that the Horned Frogs never did much to alter the Fighting Irish.

“Obviously Sedona [Prince] is in there, she was blocking shots, that’s one factor, but we literally were just missing shots that we normally make and that’s going to happen at times. In those moments we have to rely on our defense and we tried to do that. I thought my team played extremely hard and fought to the end, so I’m very proud of them for that. But it’s just shots that we should make that are on us at the end of the day,” Olivia Miles said.

Sadly, Miles will not play with Hannah Hidalgo and the Fighting Irish. The guard will look forward to building her career with her new team. Now that she addressed there’s no beef with Hidalgo, she’s off to a fresh start.
