Kansas State cornerback Jacob Parrish comes into the 2025 NFL Draft as a versatile prospect who can play both on the boundary and in the slot because of his ball skills and athleticism. He can play tight on underneath routes playing in man coverage and has the deep speed to keep up with the receivers downfield and short-area quickness to challenge throws from the slot. Parrish struggles at times to gather himself on comeback and double-break routes. He put on bulk before last season, but he is still not a plus as a run defender because of his lack of mass and aggression, and also tends to get pushed around by bigger receivers on the top of routes and jump balls.
Parrish was a three-star recruit in the 2022 recruiting class with offers from North Dakota State and South Dakota State but stayed home to play at Kansas State. After playing primarily on special teams and as a reserve as a freshman, Pariish broke out with 44 tackles, four interceptions, and nine pass breakups and made Honorable Mention All-Big 12 in 2023. In 2024, Parrish recorded 50 tackles, one interception, and seven pass breakups, again being named Honorable Mention All-Big 12. NFL.com Lead Draft Analyst Eric Edholm has Parrish at No. 94 in his Top 100 NFL Draft rankings.

Third-Fourth Round
Jacob Parrish is not the biggest, strongest, or lankiest prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft Class, but he has the skills and football IQ to be an immediate contributor in a sub-package and to play on a special teams unit. He can play on the outside, but his potential could be best turned into production as a slot cornerback matching up against smaller, shiftier receivers. In conclusion, if Parrish can find a way to be a better run defender, he will be a regular contributor to a team’s defense because he has all the skills to play in coverage.
