The 2025 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and we've got you covered with in-depth scouting reports on all of the top prospects at every position in this year's class.
Here's everything you need to know about Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell heading into the 2025 draft:
Height: 6-3
Weight: 244
Age: 21
Sporting a huge frame, Campbell has impressive movement skills for an off-ball linebacker of his size. He’s a smooth mover in all directions, whether he’s chasing running plays downhill or from sideline-to-sideline. The same is true in coverage, as he’s quick to sink into his zones and find something to hit, or mirror potential pass-catchers in man responsibilities. He packs a punch when he arrives at the ball, and his consistent technique makes him a sure tackler in the open field. He can prove too slippery for blockers at the second level, and his combination of strength and athleticism makes him effective at getting after the quarterback in blitz packages.
Campbell can rely too much on his size and strength to overcome blocks, failing to use his length to its full advantage by keeping blockers away from his frame, and struggling with consistency when it comes to his hand usage. His frame is a bit high-cut, and he can play accordingly at times, taking on blocks and tackle attempts with a high pad level that doesn’t give him an adequate anchor to win the rep. His aggressiveness can be an asset, but it can also backfire against misdirection runs and play-action passes where he bites on the initial action and ends up in the wrong spot.

He’s got all the physical tools to be a three-down playmaker at the second level in the NFL, and everything Campbell struggles with at this point is teachable. It might take a little patience and technical refinement from his pro coaches, but Campbell has all the the makings of a scheme-versatile defender with Pro Bowl potential.
