The 2025 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and we've got you covered with in-depth scouting reports on all of the top prospects at every position in this year's class.
Here's everything you need to know about Ohio State offensive lineman Donovan Jackson heading into the 2025 draft:
Height: 6-4
Weight: 320
Age: 22
Jackson looks like the prototypical NFL guard prospect right out of the gate, with a power-packed frame and impressive movement skills for someone his size. He’s also got fantastic length for the position, which can be an unpleasant surprise for interior defenders who aren’t used to dealing with that kind of reach inside. He’s just as comfortable moving laterally as he is going north and south, which gives him plenty of scheme versatility, and he’s strong enough to absorb pass rushers without giving ground, as well as driving the pile in the ground game. Injuries up front for the Buckeyes this year forced Jackson to play multiple positions, giving him even more versatility as he prepares for the NFL.
The next step in Jackson’s development will be fine-tuning his technique and improving his overall awareness in order to maximize his blue-chip talent and physical traits. He can be bested by more polished and experienced defenders who know how to set him up and expose the areas where he’s still green. His hand strikes need to be more consistent, and his ability to pass off and carry stunts and twists will need improvement.

There’s plenty of technical work to be done here, but it’s all stuff that can be coached up at the next level. What can’t be taught are the impressive physical tools that Jackson brings to the table, which give him nothing but upside. His blend of power and movement skills will be enough to get him by until he’s able to round out his game with technical improvements and enough reps to learn some tricks of the trade.
