Billy Napier and the Florida Gators could be in for another recruiting win, having just landed four-star safety Kaiden Hall. On3's main recruiting and transfer portal news breaker, Steve Wiltfong, has logged an expert prediction for Florida to land another 2026 prospect.
Blue Chip defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy could soon be a Florida commit, with Wiltfong dropping a 60% confidence level in the prediction.
The Tupelo, MS native is ranked the No.17 defensive lineman and No.163 overall player per the On3 Industry Rankings.
McCoy reopened his recruitment in February after decommitting from the LSU Tigers. The six-foot-seven, 245-pound defensive lineman visited Gainesville this past weekend and left impressed. Back in April, he said, “They made the biggest move for me this spring,” speaking to Chad Simmons of On3.
He is slated to visit the Ole Miss Rebels, Texas Longhorns, and LSU in June, with McCoy set to be in Austin this coming weekend. Back in April, he said he would announce his commitment on July 1, which may come earlier if Florida has done enough to convince him that the Swamp is home.
Florida is currently ranked outside the top 40 in the 2026 Team Recruiting Rankings, with just four commits, three of those coming from players in the Sunshine State. That will undoubtedly start to creep up, especially during the season.
A commitment from MCroy would shoot them up into the top 40 if it happens this week, with Napier and his staff working on more top names from the 2026 class.
