The 2026 NFL offseason is here and that means it’s time for mock drafts, draft profiles and everything that goes with them. So without further ado, here’s one of many Draft Profiles for the 2025 NFL draft.
HT: 6’0
WT: 220 lbs
Block Deconstruction: Struggles when linemen reach the second level. Fails to stack and shed, getting washed out at the point.
Play Strength: Lighter frame shows up versus lead blockers. Rarely wins collisions near the line of scrimmage.
Coverage Consistency: Allowed chunk plays underneath in key matchups. Inconsistency shows when asked to manage space and timing.
RPO Discipline: Bites on run fakes too often. Vacates passing lanes and opens easy throwing windows behind him.
Tackling Power: Tends to catch ball carriers instead of striking through them. Results in drag-down tackles rather than clean stops.
Week-to-Week Consistency: Performance dipped at times in 2025. Flashes high-end ability but mixes in uneven outings.
Louis fits best as a weakside linebacker in a 4-3 scheme. Keep him clean and let him play in space. When he reads the quarterback and drives on throws, his impact shows up quickly. The 2025 Stanford game offers a strong snapshot of his potential. He worked sideline to sideline, made plays in coverage, and finished consistently at the ball.
His size is a limitation that cannot be ignored. Taking on climbing guards or absorbing lead blocks will not hold up. He can still play early downs, but usage must account for those constraints. His best role early is as a nickel linebacker matching tight ends and backs. That keeps him on the field in sub-packages while maximizing his strengths. The Combine backed up the tape, confirming rare movement skills and range for the position.
His two years of production at Pittsburgh stand out, especially his 2024 coverage tape. The 2025 season showed more inconsistency against stronger competition. The flashes are still there, both in instincts and athletic traits. With a strong front and creative deployment, he offers real starter upside.
