Knox is scheduled to visit LSU this weekend for the Tigers' game in Baton Rouge against South Carolina.

Knox Kiffin drops a big update about his future in college football

Ole Miss fans probably aren't thrilled that Knox is heading to Baton Rouge this weekend for a visit.

They'll be even less thrilled, though, when they hear about Knox's plans for his playing career.

The 2028 recruit told On3 this week that he isn't going to play for his dad at Ole Miss.

“I’m definitely not going to play for my dad,” said Knox. “I want to do my own stuff.

“I understand what Shedeur (Sanders) did but I don’t want to be in the position for fans to say, ‘The only reason you’re playing is because of your dad.’ I want to beat my dad," continued Knox. "I want to play against him, not play with him....He understands. Sometimes he’ll be like, ‘Oh, you should play with me,’ but he understands that I want to start my own thing, my own legacy.”

You certainly have to respect (and understand) Knox's decision, but it's still a decision that likely won't sit well with folks in Oxford.
