After previously committing to the Baylor Bears on June 24, four-star safety Jordan Deck flipped his commitment to the Michigan Wolverines, per On3.

The Class of 2026 prospect is ranked as the 25th-best player at his position and became the 22nd recruit to join Michigan’s 2026 cycle.

Deck, a 6-foot-3 safety, originally chose the Bears over Michigan, Penn State, Colorado, and UCLA.

Heading into his senior season with Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas, Deck tallied 42 tackles as a junior. He earned the ranking of the 308th-best player in his class.

Despite starting the season 2-4, Baylor had a strong 2024 campaign, going 8-5 and earning its fifth bowl game appearance in seven seasons.

Although he was on the hot seat at the start of 2024, Dave Aranda finished with his second winning season as head coach. He led the program to eight wins for the second time in five years at the helm.

The Bears will kick off the 2025 season on Friday, Aug. 29, against the Auburn Tigers at home.

In Michigan’s first season after winning the 2023 National Championship, the team had its worst record since 2020 at 8-5.

Heading into Sherrone Moore’s second season as head coach, the team retooled with its fourth-ranked recruiting class in the Big 10 Conference.
