Elijah Haven has announced a verbal commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide. He chose the Tide over the Georgia Bulldogs.

Haven is a 2027 five-star recruit, and he is considered the No. 1 quarterback in the country.  His commitment gives the Tide two 2027 quarterback pledges.

The Crimson Tide’s former quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan helped put the Tide in a great position with Haven. Bryan Ellis, the Tide’s new quarterbacks coach, brought it home for the Tide.

“It is a great school with great coaches,” Haven said. “Me and my family think the world of the coaches, just so thankful for them recruiting me. Coach Nick Sheridan is gone to Michigan State; he has gotten a great opportunity there, but Coach Ellis has stepped in, and we feel the same love.”

Haven is now looking forward to seeing his future teammates in action this fall after watching a small preview on A-Day.

“I thought the offense did some great things,” Haven said. “Obviously, they are still putting it together, but it’s only the spring. I am excited to see them in the fall.”

The five-star led Dunham High School to a state championship in 2025, the school’s first state title since 2004. He threw for 3,931 yards and 62 touchdowns as a junior. He also added 794 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.
