Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has entered the NIL space in Manhattan, Kansas, with a new partnership featuring three Kansas State athletes. The deal includes running back Dylan Edwards, quarterback Avery Johnson, and soccer player Anna Pagano.

The announcement was made with a promotional photo featuring all three athletes wearing branded Freddy’s apparel. The partnership gives the players a role in promoting the Freddy’s brand through social media, appearances, and marketing campaigns tied to the K-State community.

Dylan Edwards is one of the most hyped players on the Wildcats’ roster this season and is expected to return to action in the near future. The former Colorado running back brings speed and versatility to the backfield and special teams. Avery Johnson, already a fan favorite in Manhattan, continues to rise as a dual-threat quarterback and face of the program. On the women’s soccer side, Anna Pagano adds a valuable presence after starting multiple matches as a defender and contributing to the team’s early success.

The deal also reflects Freddy’s strategic approach to NIL by working with athletes across multiple sports. This kind of campaign goes beyond just football and engages a broader spectrum of the K-State fan base.

For Kansas State, the announcement adds to the growing list of players securing NIL opportunities within the region. It also marks a win for women’s athletics, which continues to see increasing representation in these types of marketing partnerships.

Freddy’s named a total of 12 college athletes nationwide in the promotion, with the Kansas State trio representing a key piece of the rollout. Each athlete will be featured in digital and social media content tied to Freddy’s ongoing efforts to connect with college sports fans.

This is not Freddy’s first move into NIL, but the visibility of the K-State athletes involved has quickly made it one of the most discussed. The combination of local talent, social presence, and fan engagement makes the partnership a natural fit in Manhattan.
