Penn State linebacker Abdul Carter is one of the top prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Carter, a Philadelphia native, went to La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania before beginning his collegiate career with the Nittany Lions. The superstar pass rusher is a die-hard Eagles fan, and had the privilege of watching his NFL team win a Super Bowl title this past season.

That being said, there's a good chance Carter will end up with one of the Eagles' division rivals in his rookie season.

Carter is projected to go No. 3 overall to the New York Giants in many mock drafts.

Carter was asked about this conflict of interest during a pre-draft interview in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

"Once I go to New York, I'm all New York - I'm going to have to leave Philly behind," Carter said.

Carter also said he has the "best feeling" about New York drafting him in this year's selection process.

"It's definitely New York right now, but we'll see what happens tomorrow," Carter said on Wednesday.

During an interview at the NFL Draft Combine earlier this year, Carter admitted that this past season was his last year as a true Eagles fan.

“It was dope,” Carter said. “I really just got to enjoy my last year really being a fan. Being from Philly, born and raised, supporting the Eagles really my whole life. I got to take my dad to the Super Bowl. Just enjoyed being a fan one last year. Whatever team drafts me, I’m loyal to that team.”

The 2025 NFL draft will begin at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday.
