Alabama football’s defensive lineman, LT Overton has found his name listed in the first-round in multiple way-too-early 2026 NFL mock drafts.

The Tide’s defensive line was the main focus of episode two of Alabama Athletics’ summer video series, “The Bama Standard.” The episode shined a light on Alabama’s entire defensive line unit which is expected to be one of the nation’s best.

Overton is expected to play a huge role in the Tide living up to those expectations.

“He’s very physical with his hands,” Alabama offensive lineman, Kadyn Proctor said. “He’s got long arms. He’s got good hands. He’s got good pass-rush moves, and he never stops working. If I get on him, stop his one move, he’s got to make a second move, third move, and he’s never going to stop. That’s what makes him hard to block.”

Tim Keenan III is excited to cause disruption on the defensive front for Alabama in 2025 alongside Overton.

“Seems like every time he back there at the quarterback,” Keenan said. “I don’t mind having a pick game or being a decoy for him when I know I got LT Overton on the outside to go make a sack.”

Alabama football dominated the SEC for years with a dominant defensive front. Can they return to those days in the fall?
