Alabama football announces date of spring A-Day

Alabama football announced it will host its annual spring A-Day event on April 11 at 1 p.m. CST at Saban Field in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The Crimson Tide opted to have an open practice over a spring game in 2025. Fans were allowed to attend the practice for free as players went through both team and individual drills. College football teams across the country decided to either modify or canceled their spring game last year due to injury concerns and the transfer portal opening immediately after the spring.

What makes this spring really interesting is that the spring transfer portal window no longer exists. It is currently unclear if Kalen DeBoer and company will stick with this modified option in April or go back to an actual control scrimmage.

Alabama is set to continue the annual tradition of the Walk of Fame Ceremony at Denny Chimes. Alabama Athletics referred to the event as a scrimmage in a press release while mentioning the ceremony.

“The annual Walk of Fame ceremony at Denny Chimes, honoring the 2025 captains, will still take place prior to the scrimmage, as will the Walk of Champions,” a statement released by Alabama Athletics read.
