Alabama football uses 'LANK' motto to benefit everyone for NIL opportunities
John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

Alabama head coach Nick Saban is proud of Jalen Milroe and Terrion Arnold for more than what they do on the field.

Saban knew that name, image, and likeness had the potential of tearing locker rooms apart; however, he has not seen that result for the Crimson Tide. He watched his starting quarterback and starting cornerback take an acronym and bond a team together to become Southeastern Conference Championship and make the College Football Playoff. Milroe and Arnold created “LANK,” which means Let All Naysayers Know. People wrote off the Tide after an early season loss to Texas, but the players worked their butts off to prove everyone wrong. Alabama is in a position to capture a CFP National Championship, but Saban is thrilled about how Milroe and Arnold used NIL to help benefit everyone. After creating a LANK clothing line, Milroe and Arnold used their creation to help their teammates profit off LANK. Everyone on the team has their own branded shirt in conjunction with LANK.

Players inside the facility erupted with joy when they got the news of having branded shirts.

Two players had a vision, but they shared the wealth with everyone. This Alabama team has a chemistry and togetherness that speaks to a potential national championship. The Tide continues to prepare to play Michigan on New Year’s Day.
