The Alabama Crimson Tide will house two former five-star quarterbacks in 2025: Ty Simpson and Keelon Russell.
The duo are among six five-star quarterbacks to ever don the crimson and grey, according to 247Sports. On Wednesday, Alabama began its quest to ink its seventh.
According to Touchdown Alabama's Brody Smoot, Alabama has offered five-star quarterback Elijah Haven. Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer throws his hat in the ring with the Auburn Tigers, Baylor Bears, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, LSU Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, Michigan Wolverines, and Ole Miss Rebels, among others.
247Sports has Haven not only as the top 2027 recruit in the state of Louisiana but also as the top passer in the country for his respective class. Haven took home MaxPreps National Sophomore Player of the Year honors last season after throwing for 27 touchdowns against four picks. He also added 429 rushing yards and 12 scores on the ground while Dunham High School went 14-1.
He also started as a freshman for Dunham, throwing for 35 touchdowns, according to 247Sports. Haven already possesses elite size despite his age, standing at six feet five inches and weighing 215 pounds. Andrew Ivins of 247Sports clocks Haven as a future first-round NFL selection.
If Alabama can secure a commitment from Haven, he will become immediate competition for current true freshman and five-star Keelon Russell, barring an early entry into the NFL Draft or a transfer. Russell will start his Alabama career as the highest-rating signee in program history based on 247Sports.
