Alabama pulled off what may go down as the best screen pass of the 2025 season during their win over Georgia on Saturday night.
The Crimson Tide were leading 17-14 late in the first half at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga., when they decided to dig into their trick play bag. Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor, who is 6-foot-7 and 366 pounds, lined up wide left as a wide receiver. Georgia’s defense likely assumed that was only for deception.
It was not. Ty Simpson actually threw the ball to Proctor, who secured the catch and gained 11 yards and a first down. The big man almost rumbled into the end zone but stepped out of bounds at the 2-yard line.

While Proctor caught a pass, the play was technically a rush since he was behind the line of scrimmage. Still, that is one of the most athletic plays you will ever see from an offensive tackle.
Proctor’s unexpected play set up a touchdown that put Alabama up 24-14 going into the half. The Tide got some help from a controversial late decision from Kirby Smart and held on to win.
