With Senior Bowl week in full swing in the heart of Mobile, a familiar name is looking to boost his draft stock in a big way.
On Wednesday, during Media Day, Crimson Tide tight end CJ Dippre spoke with reporters about the positive impact he aims to bring to an NFL team.
"A couple of words that come to mind include being versatile and tough. I show my toughness and grit in the run game and what I am willing to do in that facet of the game", Dippre remarked. "I feel like I make the most of my opportunities."
Not to mention, he added that facing stiff competition in the SEC will only help him in making the jump to the National Football League. "In the SEC, we are going up against the best of the best. Defensive ends wise, a lot of those guys will be selected in the early rounds of the NFL Draft. It's definitely prepared me for the next level."
Although Dippre is primarily known as a blocking tight end, he made his presence felt as a pass-catcher as well. This past fall, he recorded 21 receptions for 256 yards and set a career high with three touchdown catches during the 2022 season.
