Are you tired of talking about the Philadelphia Eagles' use of the "tush push" yet? Are you tired of hearing the same arguments yelled back and forth about it? Well, too bad, because it's not going away. Especially not after the Eagles called their controversial short-yardage play on four consecutive plays in the first half of Thursday's game against the New York Giants, eventually resulting in a one-yard Jalen Hurts touchdown.
It all happened in the second quarter after the Eagles drove down inside the New York Giants' 5-yard line. Starting with a 3rd-and-1 call, the Eagles ran the tush push to try to set up a 1st-and-goal and then just kept running it until they got in the end zone.
It took four attempts.
Here they are.
Entire sequence of Eagles tush pushing four straight times for a SCORE. Philly leads!

What is going to add to the controversy and discussion about this is one of those plays seemed to have an uncalled false start by an interior Eagles lineman. The Eagles lineman jumping early and getting away with false starts has been a new layer to the discussion around the play this season, and that reached a boiling point in their win over the Kansas City Chiefs earlier in the season.
After the uncalled false starts gained national attention, the NFL said it was going to be calling the play tighter and making false starts a point of emphasis.
The league apparently did not emphasize it enough.
Even though the play has not been banned outright, there is still a strong push among many in the NFL for the play to be eliminated. Seeing it get run four consecutive times, with another uncalled false start, on a prime-time nationally televised game might sway a few people over to the "ban it" side.
Green Bay Packers edge-rusher Micah Parsons chimed in with his views.
This is not football!

The argument that it's not a legitimate football play is the consensus counterpoint. You are going to hear more of that the more the Eagles keep doing what they did on Thursday night.
