It's been very quiet for the most part around the Georgia football program regarding players making their decisions known to the public regarding whether or not they will be declaring for the NFL draft. Now it seems that those decisions will start to roll in as offensive lineman Amarius Mims has announced that he has declared for the 2024 NFL draft.
Mims was a five-star prospect coming out of high school and one of the top overall players in the country for the 2021 recruiting class. He served as a reserve during the 2022 season and then became the starter for this past season. An ankle injury hindered his availability throughout the year, but when healthy, Mims played like one of the best offensive linemen in the country.
It is expected that as the NFL draft draws closer, Mims will receive first-round buzz around his name. His impeccable size and frame alongside his multiple season's worth of game film in the SEC should be enough to lock him in as one of the first few offensive linemen taken off of the board.
With players making their intentions known in the coming days and weeks, here is a running update of the roster movements as they happen.
