Arch Manning Gets Brutally Honest About His Famous Last Name

There's a lot that comes with the last name Manning, especially when you're one of the top football recruits in the nation.

And with Quinn Ewers set to make the jump to the NFL, all eyes are now on Arch Manning in Austin.

In a recent interview with ESPN, the Texas QB opened up about the pressure he feels (or doesn't feel) to live up to the legacy laid by his uncles and grandfather in the pros and how his last name has brought "undeserved" attention to his career.

"I think a lot of undeserved attention, but hopefully it gets more deserving in the next few months," Manning said. "I don't think I've done enough yet to be taking a lot of pictures at restaurants and signing autographs, but maybe that will come eventually."

Adding, "Yeah, I never really think about that. I'm just here to play football," when talking about the hype surrounding his pedigree.

"It's a game I love, grew up playing. You're out there with your friends playing every Saturday. What could get better than that? I'm not here to take someone off the throne or like I'm not worried about my legacy. I'm just worried about playing ball and winning games."

The Isidore Newman alum was the No. 1 player in the country coming out of high school and now he's looking to lift Texas back into national championship contention.

Steve Sarkisian and the Horns have been knocking at the door for a while now. But many feel Arch is the missing piece to UT's national title hopes.
