Arch Manning and the No. 13 Texas Longhorns finished off their season on Wednesday with a 41-27 win over the No. 18 Michigan Wolverines in the Citrus Bowl.

Manning completed 21-of-34 passes (61.7%) for 221 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for a game-high 155 yards and two touchdowns. It was a game of validation for Manning who, according to Stats Perform, became the first FBS or NFL quarterback in the last 30 seasons to have over 200 yards throwing, 150 yards rushing, multiple passing and rushing touchdowns with no sacks or turnovers.

While Manning and the Longhorns ended the year on a high note, he did suffer somewhat of a loss as his roommate and key receiver, Parker Livingstone, opted to enter his name into the transfer portal.

This decision is likely influenced by Texas being linked to No. 1 portal player and Auburn wide receiver transfer, Cam Coleman. While players being bumped out of a room for a bigger name is common in the transfer portal era, Manning's social media post made it clear he was disappointed to see his friend go.

In a post shared on his Instagram Story, Manning shared a picture of him and Livingstone with a sad-looking emoji.

The 6-foot-4 Livingstone recorded 29 catches for 516 yards and six touchdowns, while also throwing a touchdown to Manning. He marks the second wide receiver to announce a transfer portal move, joining DeAndre Moore Jr., who announced his decision last month.

After a season where they started the year ranked as the No. 1 team in the country and missed the College Football Playoff, the Longhorns are expected to be as aggressive as ever in the portal, which means there isn't room for everyone to stay along for the ride.
