The Arizona State Sun Devils won 11 games for the fifth time in program history in 2024.
On Monday, the program received some more great news. On3's Hayes Fawcett reported that Arizona State gained a transfer commitment from former Georgia and Purdue cornerback Nyland Green.
Green is an experienced corner who will have one more year of eligibility remaining.
Second-year head coach Kenny Dillingham won three games last season but led his team to the Big 12 Championship Game and College Football Playoff in 2024.
Arizona State's season ended with a 39-31 double overtime loss to Texas in the Peach Bowl.

Green was a former five-star recruit in the 2021 class. He was the No. 79 CB in the On3 Transfer Portal Industry Rankings.
Green's college career started with Georgia in 2021, where he played in three games and recorded two total tackles. His playing time increased the following season, seeing action in 10 games as a reserve defensive back and accounting for three total tackles.
During his final season with Georgia in 2023, he still was not able to make his way into the secondary rotation and had seven total tackles in 13 games.
Green transferred to Purdue after three seasons with Georgia but hit a roadblock when he suffered a foot injury that kept him out of Purdue's first three games.
Green played in eight games for the Boilermakers and set career highs in total tackles (23), TFLs (2), sacks (2) and passes defended (5).
Arizona State has added 11 players from the portal and lost 16 since it opened on Dec. 9. Green joins a transfer portal class with the likes of former Alabama receiver Jaren Hamilton, former Kentucky tight end Khamari Anderson and former Army running back Kanye Udoh.
Green will look to bolster an Arizona State secondary that finished 10th (226.7) in passing yards allowed per game in the Big 12 this season.
