Arkansas Razorbacks Lose 3-Year Starter To Transfer Portal
Brett Rojo-USA TODAY Sports

The Arkansas Razorbacks are reeling after a tough season in the SEC. They only managed one victory in the conference and they now are seeing the player turnover. Three-year starting quarterback KJ Jefferson is set to enter the transfer portal.

Arkansas Razorbacks QB KJ Jefferson To Enter Transfer Portal

Jefferson was a preseason all-SEC selection and was even getting some Heisman buzz going into the season. The Razorbacks could never string together wins. In his career, Jefferson has thrown for 7,923 yards, and 67 touchdowns against 18 interceptions with a 65.1 completion percentage. He makes plays with his legs too. He has rushed for 1,876 yards and 21 touchdowns. This season was his worst by far but his entire body of work speaks for itself. He will be a great addition to a team that is looking to upgrade at quarterback.

Turnover At Arkansas

There are a lot of changes happening in Arkansas right now. Outside of players leaving via the transfer portal, Bobby Petrino is coming back to coach. He comes back as the offensive coordinator after previously being the head coach. He left under scandalous circumstances which makes it interesting that the university decided to bring him back. The program will also now have to find itself a new quarterback. This probably isn’t the worst thing for a rebuild but anytime you lose a quarterback of Jefferson’s talent, it hurts.

Where will KJ Jefferson end up? He is definitely one of the top prizes in the transfer portal thanks to his on-field success.
