The Auburn Tigers did not have the 2024 campaign they were hoping for, as they posted just a 5-7 record on the year. That has resulted in them being very busy when it comes to recruiting and adding players on the transfer portal, and just two days after they landed Jackson Arnold, they brought another quarterback to town on Monday.

The Tigers received a decent season of play from Payton Thorne under center (2,713 yards, 21 touchdowns, nine interceptions), but it's clear they want to make some upgrades. That led to them going out and landing one of the most coveted quarterbacks on the transfer portal in Arnold on Saturday.

Auburn wasn't done there, though, as they went out and got another quarterback off the transfer portal on Monday afternoon. It was reported that former Stanford Cardinal quarterback Ashton Daniels had committed to the Tigers, giving them another option to potentially start for them in 2025.

"BREAKING: Stanford transfer QB Ashton Daniels has Committed to Auburn, he tells On3 Sports. The 6’3 215 QB totaled 3,986 Yards & 21 TDs in his time with the Cardinal Will have 1 year of eligibility remaining with a redshirt remaining as well," Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports reported on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The 2024 campaign was a rough one for Daniels, as he passed for just 1,700 yards and 10 touchdowns, while throwing 12 interceptions, which was tops in the ACC. Daniels adds a lot to his offense as a runner, as he picked up 669 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, but he has a lot of work to do as a passer.

Daniels is hoping that a change of scenery can help him take the necessary steps forward, which has led him to Auburn. He may not be the team's first choice to start, but he could benefit from spending a year working behind the scenes in an effort to aid his development.

The Tigers quarterback room now looks drastically different than it did to end the 2024 campaign, and there will likely will be more changes getting made to different areas of their roster as the offseason moves forward.
