Auburn Flips 4-Star Safety From ACC Powerhouse

The Auburn Tigers have been one of the more active teams in college football's 2026 recruiting window, currently sitting at No. 16 in the country with eight recruits.

Looking a year ahead, in their 2027 recruiting class, they have made their first splash and have their first commitment.

After previously being committed to the Florida State Seminoles, the Tigers have flipped four-star safety Jaylen Scott to now commit to Auburn.

Florida State still has three current four-star commitments in the 2027 class, but losing Scott to Auburn certainly hurts.

Scott made a statement regarding his decision to flip, saying that "Auburn has to be the greatest environment I've been in college-wise and it's amazing."

Head coach Hugh Freeze and the Tigers are looking to get back to their dominance around college football, and after a struggling 2024 campaign look to come back strong in 2025 and beyond.

Led by new starting quarterback in Oklahoma Sooners transfer Jackson Arnold, they will hope for a better spark in an offense that wants to improve vastly heading into the new year.

Their 2025 recruiting class ranks No. 8 in the country and No. 5 in the SEC, according to On3. A top ten class will certainly help in their hunt for a college football national championship in the newly formatted College Football Playoff.

Since the College Football Playoffs have been implemented, as opposed to just the top two seeds playing for a championship, Auburn has yet to make an appearance.

Freeze putting together a couple of highly ranked recruiting classes, and hopeful translations onto the football field look to change that as they head into 2025 with lots of promise.
