Auburn lands four-star CB Devin Williams over Alabama and others

Devin Williams is a four-star cornerback from Buford, Georgia. He's considered one of the top corner recruits in the 2025 class, and that's all good news for the Auburn Tigers.

Williams committed to Auburn on Monday, saying that he's "100% committed and that he's "home":

This is a big commitment for head coach Hugh Freeze and his staff, and Freeze should really thank cornerbacks coach Wesley McGriff, who goes by the nickname "Crime Dawg". He played a huge role in this commitment by developing a strong relationship with Williams.

“I love Coach Crime,” Williams had previously said, per 247Sports. “I love his personality. I love what he’s about. I love what the coaching staff is about. I like what they’re telling us. They just keep producing guys. That’s why I’m back at Auburn.”

Two recent visits to Auburn, including a junior day visit, plus "Coach Crime's" recruiting ability likely sealed the deal for the Tigers, as Williams committed to them over the likes of Notre Dame, Alabama, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Williams is the No. 11 cornerback in the 2025 class.
