Betting Line for Florida-Florida State Shows Clear Favorite

The annual rivalry matchup between the Florida Gators and Florida State Seminoles occurs on Saturday. 

Florida State has won the last two meetings of the in-state foes, but Florida leads the all-time series 37-28-2. 

Florida and Florida State have had two different seasons in 2024. Gators head coach Billy Napier was on the hot seat entering the season after six wins in 2022 and five wins in 2023. 

It has been a disastrous campaign for Florida State after what happened last season. The Seminoles were undefeated after winning the 2023 ACC championship over the Louisville Cardinals. 

However, quarterback Jordan Travis suffered a season-ending injury in the North Alabama game, and Florida State missed the College Football Playoff. 

The Seminoles went to the Orange Bowl and lost to the Georgia Bulldogs 63-3. 

Florida State just picked up its second win of the season on Saturday after beating Charleston Southern. The Seminoles scored over 21 points for the first time in 12 games. 

Florida Athletic Director Scott Stricklin confirmed that Billy Napier will be in Gainesville next season. The Gators are fresh off a 24-17 upset of the No. 9 Ole Miss Rebels and clinched a bowl game appearance with the win.
