Despite the transfer portal becoming one of the most popular ways for many teams to build up their roster, recruiting is still highly important to ensure a program's long-term success.

One team that's surely not forgotten about how crucial it is would be the Ohio State Buckeyes, who are coming off an amazing season that ended with a national championship win over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Head coach Ryan Day has already brought in a number of talented high school players, and on Friday, made another huge addition in the form of linebacker  CJ Sanna out of Lewis Center, Ohio.

This is huge news for the Buckeyes and Day, as On3 ranks Sanna as a four-star recruit, the No. 29 linebacker and the No. 16 player in Ohio, while also having offers from schools such as Michigan State, Wisconsin, Miami and Iowa State.

This addition would also help Ohio State receive a 2026 recruiting class ranking of 93.235, which ranks No. 3 in the nation and No. 2 in the Big Ten, surpassing the Oregon Ducks in both categories, per On3.

Some other big names that Sanna will now be joining in the same class include five-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr., four-star safety Blaine Bradford, four-star offensive tackle Sam Greer and four-star athlete Jakob Weatherspoon.
