The college football transfer portal has seen a ton of changes in the last couple of weeks.

With the portal seeing thousands of players enter, some programs have seen north of 20 and even 30 departures early on.

One program that has undergone a ton of changes is the Purdue Boilermakers. As of Saturday, Purdue had seen 26 players depart via the transfer portal.

Purdue fired head coach Ryan Walters after just two seasons and then hired Barry Odom away from UNLV. Since taking the job, Odom has revamped the coaching staff and has tried to bring in talent while losing a flurry of players.

On Monday night, Purdue saw even more departures with two other players entering the portal, and both of them played at Georgia before coming to Purdue.

Wide receiver CJ Smith and cornerback Nyland Green tossed their names into the portal, per Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer of 247Sports

Green was a five-star recruit in the Class of 2021 who initially committed to Georgia and spent three seasons in Athens. In 2023, Green entered the portal and landed at Purdue with a Christmas Day commitment.

In his lone season with the Boilermakers, green recorded 13 solo tackles with a pair of sacks and a forced fumble, but he could have plenty of suitors this time around.

Meanwhile, CJ Smith, a former three-star prospect spent two seasons with the Bulldogs before joining Purdue last offseason. In 2023, he played in 10 games for Georgia in 2023, catching 10 passes for 116 yards and a score.

This past season, he had just six catches for 69 yards in three games, and now he heads into the portal again.

Purdue's mass exodus continued on Monday, and it will be interesting to see if the former Georgia players transfer to the same program for the second year in a row.
