For the most part North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick's relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson has been seen as a topic of gossip and jokes. But a new report suggests that Hudson is causing a serious rift with members of his own family.

According to Edward Lewis of the New York Post in an exclusive, Belichick's daughter-in-law Jen Belichick (wife to his son and UNC defensive coordinator Steve Belichick) recently unleashed a "profanity-laced tirade" centering on Hudson. Mrs. Belichick was reportedly "furious" with Hudson over an interaction she had with Hudson earlier in the day.

She allegedly screamed that all Hudson does is "control (expletive)" and called her "bat-(expletive) crazy." Mrs. Belichick unleashed this tirade with Hudson, Bill, and her husband all in the room. She reportedly stated that she did not care if her tirade resulted in Bill disowning her or in Steve getting fired.

Jen Belichick reportedly went so far as to declare that Bill must either choose his family or Hudson.

“He wants to fire you, fire you. He wants to (expletive) disown me, disown me. I don’t (expletive) care," she reportedly said, amid a tirade that is believed to have lasted around 40 minutes.

Fan response

The reaction from fans has largely been in support of Jen Belichick, who are convinced that Hudson is manipulative and that she had the courage to say to Bill's face what they've all wanted to:

"Honestly I applaud her. Someone needs to talk some sense into him," one user wrote on X.

"She just said what everyone else was thinking," another remarked.

"The Belichick daughter in law is the sane and reasonable one at UNC," a third joked.

"We all know that guy who had that girlfriend that had something wrong with her that couldn't see it until it was too late. BB is that guy."

The personal life drama surrounding Belichick has only been exacerbated by his team's struggles on the football field this season. At 4-6, the Tar Heels are just one loss away from missing bowl eligibility for the first time since 2018.

North Carolina play Duke today and finish the season against NC State.
